The Chocolate Penthouse Sound System is composed of two instances of Ableton live on running on mac books, one Korg ms2000b, one Alesis Micron, one Novation x-station, one Presonus Firebox, one Berhinger 1604a, and one Mexican made Fender Jazz Bass. We run the beats off one laptop and use the other for fx. The white laptop powers both the firebox and the Novation. USB is used for both audio and power on the Novation. The Novation is controlled mainly via the Alesis so the musician can play both instruments simultaneously when necessary. The korg ms2000b is used primarily for vocoding and sub bass. All audio is routed into the Berhinger to give it that extra special hum that helps define the Chocolate Penthouse Sound.
